Service and Simplicity from VEKA

VEKA Recycling offers a convenient and straightforward service to all our customers. We acknowledge that some recycling services can require a lot of work your end, which can put you off. For that reason, we ensure that barely any time is taken out of your typical working day.

Here at VEKA, we work with companies who supply or install uPVC windows and doors, allowing them to recycle old products which have reached their ‘end of life’. Our unique closed loop process means this old uPVC can be cleaned, extruded and reused as new windows and doors. Therefore, recycling with VEKA offers you an attractive alternative to dumping on landfill. Not only can this lead to a more sustainable environment, but it could also prove to be a much more cost effective solution for you.

What Our Service Aims To Provide

Accessiblity

When you sign up to have your old uPVC windows and doors recycled with VEKA, there couldn’t be less work for you at your end. We’ll work closely with you to ensure you have the best solution for your companies uPVC material. As soon as you are ready, you can give us a call, and we’ll arrange collection.

Simplicity

When collecting the ‘end of life’ uPVC products in for us, you’ll only need to remove the glazing. Any metal hardware that is built into the windows and doors can remain. You also won’t have to separate by colour. It’s as simple as that.

Convenience

We acknowledge that you’re busy, and don’t expect you to be travelling to drop off points with your waste. One of our low emission fleet will come to you, collecting at a time that suits you. From there, we handle the rest of the recycling process.

Experience

We began our initiative in the UK in 2007, meaning we already boast over a decade of experience in this industry. This time has also allowed us to steadily improve and fine tune our recycling service, including making it as straightforward and hassle free as possible for you.

What Sets Us Apart

Market Leading Process

The VEKA Group were the first recycling initiative to perfect the closed loop process, whereby old uPVC windows and doors can be recycled and extruded into brand new ones. We take pride in leading the industry with our practices and will continue to break down barriers with uPVC recycling.

Product Rigidity

One of the best parts of our process is the fact that this recycled uPVC will be just as strong as what it was previously, regardless of where it was sourced. This means that it can be used as window or door frames once again.

Attention to Detail

We have taken several steps to ensure that our entire recycling process is as environmentally friendly as possible. Our fleet of vehicles are all recent and boast the latest efficient engines to keep emissions low. We also carefully plan our collections so that we minimise wasted journeys. This level of attention to detail is unrivalled.

Why We Started VEKA

  • We started our recycling initiative to keep valuable uPVC out of landfills in the UK. As a form of plastic, there are many prejudices against uPVC in the modern home improvement market. However, we believe that it’s still one of the best building materials available.
  • It’s versatility and long lifespan make it an incredibly desirable product. Because of this, we worked to create our closed loop recycling process which can see the same window or door reincarnated up to ten times. This could lead to up to 350 years of usage from the same uPVC frame.
  • Despite this, most installers in the UK still prefer to use new uPVC as opposed to recycled products – we aim to change that. By offering uPVC which is just as robust as it was before it was recycled, we hope that more installers will instead use uPVC extruded from VEKA Recycling pellets in years to come.
