Recycled Pellets and Their Uses

Here at VEKA we dispose of unwanted and scrap uPVC from old window frames, doors, and anything else suitable from our methods. The result of the recycling process is our famed plastic pellets that can be used for a manner of applications and are key in the sustainable future of home improvement.

What Are Recycled Pellets?

We offer a variety of pellets as a result of our recycling process that can be used to create all manner of new uPVC products including:

  • Windows and Doors
  • Window Sills, Beading and Cavity Closures
  • Fencing and Decking
  • Guttering and Drainpipes
  • Trunking and Ducting
  • Underground Pipes
  • Tubing

We have various different types of recycled pellets on offer including PI white pellets, Jazz pellets, Coloured pellets, and PCW white pellets, each of which can create a robust, new uPVC profile ready to be used again.

What Are the Benefits of Recycled Pellets?

There is a veritable wealth of benefits to the recycling work we do here at VEKA all of which contribute to principles of circular economy and a more eco friendly world. The result of this is our plastic pellets that can produce uPVC that offer suppliers, installers, and homeowners a sustainable alternative to brand new frames.

Plastic pellets have the ability to produce uPVC products that are highly resistant to unpredictable elements, which is a big advantage. Our uPVC pellets are designed to withstand the harshest weather conditions and have a 30-year life expectancy, creating durable profiles for uPVC home improvements. Our recycled plastic pellets will also endure UV rays without losing any colour or fading in the sun.

Using VEKA to dispose of materials is an eco-friendly way to improve your home, and you can then benefit from a newly recycled window that needs little upkeep to maintain its top performance.

What is the Pellet Process?

Recycled doors and windows are becoming more and more popular among home remodeling professionals because of our industry-leading techniques.

You can begin collecting any outdated uPVC doors and windows from installations once we have worked with you to determine your needs. Any production waste might also be categorised under this. They don’t require colour separation or the removal of any metal components.

The uPVC profiles and off-cuts are shredded at our plant, any magnetic and non-magnetic metals will then be removed in two different steps. After being removed, a separation mechanism will shrink the pieces’ size before classifying them according to colour.

The uPVC is then pelletized once the material has been sorted to create contamination-free pellets that can be extruded back into new goods. Even though it has been recycled, the material will have the same level of durability as brand-new uPVC windows and doors.
